Darby and I (along with 26 others) were there to accept the award for him. It was a grand event, but could never compare to the grandness of Heaven.

We are off to Toronto

Well, the time has come and we are off to Toronto on Saturday March 24,2007. Earl will be admitted to the Sarcoma Unit @ Mt Sinai Hospital on Sunday morning. The tests begin on Sunday with an MRI and other test's/procedures will start Monday. Please keep him in your thoughts and prayers as he is obiviously upset and concerned.(to put it mildly)

We would love to here from you, and I know he will appreciate your posts to his blog.

We are planning on staying for the week, and hoping we can get out to a Leafs Game and to the Hockey Hall of fame. And who knows maybe we will take a trip to Niagara Falls.

Take Care,
Debbie, Darby & Earl

We're thinking about you all the time here at Leach, Cooker!

Speaking of thinking...I have a hockey trivia question for you to answer.

Q: What is the name of the 1962 Stanley Cup winning Maple Leafs player who "The Tragically Hip" wrote a song about?

A:?????

Hi Earl,
I just heard your news. I am so sorry that you have to deal with this, but I have no doubt that you will fight this cancer with the same vigor and enthusiasm you have displayed in waging other difficult battles in your life, and, I have absolute faith that you will be an inspiration to others as you do so!
You, Deb & Darby are in my thoughts and prayers,
Godbless,
Peter

Hey Earl!,
I am so proud of how you handle life, much like how you handle shots on goal! Stuff keeps coming at you and you deflect it or deal with it. So go to Mt Sinai and show those Doctors what you're made of. It's a fabulous hospital. I worked there for 8 years and they know what they are doing. Keep us posted, as I'll be waiting to hear news.
Love you lots,
Mrs. P
